LinkedIn personal branding

Based in Northampton, we work with professionals and businesses across Northamptonshire, Milton Keynes, and the UK for LinkedIn personal branding support and consulting.

LinkedIn is full of opportunity, but it can be difficult to start.

Perhaps you’re not sure what to post or how to talk about yourself. Maybe confidence or consistency is holding you back, or you don’t have the time or expertise to get results. That’s where Social with Ryan comes in.

LinkedIn personal branding, built around you

I’m Ryan Percival and I work with founders, senior leaders and directors across the UK who want their LinkedIn profile to do something more useful than sit there looking tidy. Most senior leaders and business owners I speak to aren’t sure what to post or simply have no time to keep it up.

And if you’re reading this, you probably know how much LinkedIn matters but haven’t yet worked out how to make it work for you specifically.

We can build your personal brand on LinkedIn, whether you’re a founder, a director or simply the face of your business. If what you actually need is broader than that, managing a company page or rolling LinkedIn out across a whole team, that’s a different service, and you’ll find it on our LinkedIn management page.

I built Social with Ryan through my own LinkedIn profile, starting in December 2023 with just me and my laptop, on consistent content and real conversations alone. Since then, I’ve scaled from freelancer to small social media agency and been named in the Top 100 Marketers for 2026 – the approach I used to build my own visibility is the one I bring to the people I work with now.

Social with Ryan is a social media management agency that specialises in B2B LinkedIn personal branding, though I find that ‘agency’ word doesn’t quite communicate my personal and hands-on approach. There’s a small team here, but I still steer the strategy, approve all content, and I limit the number of clients I work with so I can give each one the attention they deserve.

Founders and senior leaders trust me with their online reputation. That’s a real privilege, and I treat it like one.

How our LinkedIn personal branding service works

Let's chat

1. Discovery

We start with a conversation about where you are now, what’s worked, what hasn’t, and what you actually want LinkedIn to do for you: new business, credibility in your sector, or just feeling less awkward about showing up.

2. Strategy & profile setup

From there, I build your content strategy and rework your profile so it matches the story we want your ideal clients to see. This is the foundation everything else sits on.

3. Content & confidence

We move into writing and shaping your posts, in your voice, covering the content pillars we’ve agreed on. Confidence tends to build here too, because once you can see what’s landing and why, posting stops feeling like guesswork.

4. Engagement & outreach

Content only works if it’s paired with outreach and consistent activity, so this stage is about building the habit of engaging with the right people, rather than publishing and waiting for something to happen.

5. Review & next steps

We check in regularly on what’s working, what’s generating conversations, and where the strategy needs to shift. LinkedIn changes, so the approach has to as well.

Results you can expect

Every client wants something slightly different from LinkedIn, but the work tends to deliver in four ways.

Let's chat

Reach on its own means very little. What matters is being in front of the specific people who could hire you, refer you or partner with you, and that comes from strategy rather than volume.

People look you up before they contact you. A profile and a feed that back up what you say you do turn that quiet check into a reason to get in touch.

A bigger network isn't the goal. Conversations are, and they come from consistent posting paired with reaching out to people deliberately instead of waiting to be found.

Enquiries, introductions, speaking invitations, new clients. We track what's actually generating those, so you can see where the work is paying off rather than guessing at it from impression counts.

What LinkedIn personal branding services actually cover

Most personal branding support on LinkedIn gets reduced to one thing – ghostwriting. This is simply someone else typing your posts for you. If you’re after a straightforward LinkedIn ghostwriter, that’s part of what I do – but, as an experienced social media manager, it’s just a small part of the wider strategy.

In 2026, LinkedIn requires a lot more than a steady posting schedule, so this is the fuller picture.

Strategy

Before anything gets written, we uncover what you want to achieve, work out who you’re actually trying to reach, and what you want them to think, feel or do once they find you. That means real positioning: what makes you worth following, which topics are yours to own, and what a consistent voice looks like for you specifically, not a template.

Profile

Your LinkedIn profile is a personal landing page, but most people set it up once and forget about it. I’ll rework your headline, banner, ‘about’ section and featured content so anyone who lands there, whether from a post, a search or a mutual connection, understands what you do and why it matters within seconds. And we review and update it regularly.

Content

Once the strategy is set, someone has to actually make the content, week after week. We agree on your content pillars, then work out which formats genuinely suit you: written posts, carousels, even the occasional video if you’re comfortable on camera. Quality over quantity is the rule, because two posts a week that say something worth reading will always beat five that just fill a slot.

Outreach

Posting is only half the job. The other half is proactive: connecting with the right people, sending messages that start meaningful conversations rather than a generic pitch, and turning a growing audience into actual opportunities. This is where most personal branding work stops short, and it’s usually where the real progress shows up.

If that sounds like what you need, let’s chat about how we can make it happen.

Choosing a LinkedIn personal branding consultant

When you hire a consultant, you want the consultant. The strategy and the content is led by me, rather than being handed to a junior account manager.

It’s worth asking anyone you’re considering whether they’ve built anything themselves on the platform they’re consulting on. My own page is the proof of the method, and you can read it before you ever speak to me.

Some clients prefer to write their own posts and just need someone checking strategy and profile once a month. Others want someone to write the content for them. I’ll work however suits you, and the standard stays the same throughout: everything is written for you specifically, and nothing goes out sounding like it came from a template or AI chatbot.

If you’re weighing up 1:1 personal branding against a fuller, company-wide approach, this guide to LinkedIn management is a useful next read.

What it costs

Social with Ryan’s dedicated personal branding support starts from £599 + VAT per month.

A package can cover the strategy, monthly strategy update sessions, your profile, the content itself and the outreach that sits alongside it, with the balance shaped around what you need most.

Scope varies from client to client, so rather than listing fixed packages here, we’ll agree the right level on the discovery call.
