How does the social media strategy process work?

Whatever you want to achieve on social media, a strategy is the starting point. And I'll create a clear, understandable, actionable plan of how you can use social media to reach your business' aims.

1. Discovery call

Let’s chat. An intro call gives us the opportunity to discuss you and your business, the story so far, your social media and marketing set up, and any challenges you’re facing.

Then we’ll get stuck into the future – what you want to achieve, where you want to get to, and how a strategy can set you on your way.

2. Audit

Aka a social stalk. Without judgement, I’ll look at your current process and presence, the channels you’re using, the types of content you’re publishing and your audience.

If you’re starting from scratch… don’t worry, we’ve all been there.

I’ll also review your competitors and see what they’re doing, to unearth any opportunities for your business.

3. Workshop

We’ll then get together for a workshop. We’ll finalise your aims, look at the market and your target audience, their pain points and how you can help them.

Then we’ll focus on you and your business; the stories you want to tell, the types of content you like to see, the resource you have available, and how we can bring all of that together to have a positive impact through social media.

4. Strategy creation

I’ll bring all of the research, audit info and workshop insight together to produce a bespoke strategy for your business.

It’ll be a 12-month strategy, with aims, target audience personas, chosen channels, content pillars including series suggestions and post examples, some tactical guidance for success on social, and details on how you’ll measure success.

This will be the roadmap to those all-important results.

5. Strategy delivery

Once the strategy is complete, I’ll send it to you by email in an easy-to-read, branded PDF document. All yours, ready to put into action.

We’ll also have a 30-minute video call for you to ask me any questions you have related to anything included in the strategy.

6. The follow-up

The ball’s then in your court. You can take the strategy and run with it using your existing, internal resource, and I’ll check in with you over email to see how you’re getting on.
